General questions about SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs program:
How will I know I qualify?
Not an existing SOLIDWORKS customer Complete the application & pay the $200 application fee (non-refundable) Your application will be processed in the order in which it was received. Our SOLIDWORKS Value Added Reseller will verify your qualifications. What is the application process? Once you have filled out the application with references, a business pitch, tax ID number and all other information required in the application fields, your application will be processed in the order in which it was received. If your sponsorship inquiry is accepted, your local SOLIDWORKS Value Added Reseller will set up some time to connect with you to learn more about your business needs, evaluate the SOLIDWORKS software solutions for your new business, and see if you are willing to participate in co-marketing programs with SOLIDWORKS. Once your software needs are determined, you will be receiving an agreement that outlines the terms of the licenses. Pending your approval, the internal SOLiDWORKS Entrepreneur team will review your request and approve if we see that you would be a great fit for the program. Once your inquiry and agreement are approved, you will be receiving the SOLIDWORKS licenses you request from your reseller.
How many licenses will I receive and which ones? Individual entrepreneurs may request up to 3 licenses, individual SOLIDWORKS applications, in total of all the SOLIDWORKS software solutions that are part of the Entrepreneur program. We will review requests from incubator spaces and Maker spaces individually and determine the appropriate amount of licenses for the space. Do I get technical support with my licenses? Entrepreneur licenses receive installation support and online support through our community including My SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS forums. All Entrepreneurs can create a Guest login for the My SOLIDWORKS Community.
Technical support is available through the assigned reseller for a fee.
What sorts of co-marketing opportunities will I be offered as part of the program? You may be asked to participate in a variety of co-marketing opportunities that will promote your product to the SOLIDWORKS community comprised of students, educators, designers and engineers. We can promote your story in anything ranging from a blog post to a webinar or video. In some instances, we may invite you to speak at our user events or annual conference. How long will my licenses be active for? Your licenses will be active for six months or one year, depending on terms of the agreement. Will I receive funding as part of this program? We do not provide funding through the Entrepreneur sponsorship program. Can I reapply? Yes, you may re-apply. Please contact your Value Added Reseller before reapplying. What do I do if my project does not fall into the four categories outlined in the application? In this case, please contact the SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneur program team with questions and information on how and why your company does not fall into the guidelines outlined and why you may still be a strong candidate for the program. What is the difference between the SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneur Program and the SOLIDWORKS Partner program? The SOLIDWORKS Product Partner program supports companies interested in building a complementary solution for the SOLIDWORKS software suite. The SOLIDWORKS Service Partner program helps service partners who specialize in the professional implementation and customization of the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM product data management system to connect with SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM customers and assist them with implementation and maximizing the system’s potential. The SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneur program is focused on helping hardware startups be successful and competitive in their industry by helping them build the best-in-class products for manufacturing. SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneurs are not service providers or consultants. How do I get complimentary SOLIDWORKS partner solutions i.e. CAM and 3D printing solutions? You will need to work with the SOLIDWORKS solution partners separately in order to receive sponsorship. If I don't get accepted, will my application fee be refunded? No, the application fee is non-refundable. |
